Product description
The Hercules is the workhorse rotary a building-service contractor runs five nights a week for stripping, scrubbing, spray buffing, shampooing and bonnet work. The 20 in apron is the size most crews standardize on: wide enough to clear corridors quickly, still manageable in classrooms and restrooms. Power comes from a precision-balanced 1.5 HP 66-frame A/C motor driving a triple-planetary high-torque transmission, so the pad keeps turning when a stripper load bogs down lighter machines. The all-metal chassis adds the deadweight that makes stripping cut and buffing shine. Carries Mercury's 5-year motor, transmission and chassis warranty.

- 175 RPM brush speed — the correct speed for stripping, scrubbing, spray buffing, shampooing and bonnet cleaning.
- Takes an 18 in rotary brush or a 19 in pad driver with riser on the 20 in apron.
- All-metal polished reinforced apron adds weight for a faster, longer-lasting, brighter finish and wipes clean.
- Safety interlock switch plus non-conductive dual triggers keep both hands in control and remove shock potential.
- 48 in fully adjustable handle fits every operator; super-thick non-marking bumper protects walls and baseboards.
- 6 in non-marking fixed operating wheels for transport between rooms.
- One 50 ft 14/3-gauge safety power cord; the motor plugs into the cable at the handle base so cord service does not mean tearing down the machine.
- Accepts the optional 4-gallon solution tank for wet scrubbing and the optional 50 lb weight kit for stone and marble restoration. Ships at 108 lbs; 230-volt version available.
Receiving — do not sign clean
- Count the pieces against the bill of lading before the driver leaves. A machine, its batteries and its accessories can ship as separate items.
- Walk the pallet. Check the shrink-wrap, the crate corners and the machine itself — forks go through crates more often than anyone admits.
- Photograph any damage before you sign. Once the driver has your signature the photographs are worth much less.
