Product description
The EX40 16ST is the self-contained extractor for facilities that own their carpet care instead of outsourcing it. A 16-inch floating brush head, a 120 psi pump and a 1.5 hp three-stage vacuum with 120 inches of water lift deep-clean and pull the water back in one pass, so carpets are back in service quickly rather than roped off overnight. It carries 9 gallons of solution and 7 gallons of recovery on a removable tank, with a small enough footprint at 19.25 inches wide to fit a standard closet and pass through office doorways. One-Touch controls mean an operator picks a mode rather than juggling switches, and the same machine handles hard floors, upholstery and spot work with optional tools. It is Carpet and Rug Institute Gold certified, which matters when a facility spec or a carpet warranty requires certified extraction.
- 16-inch (41 cm) floating brush head that keeps contact with the carpet surface for better agitation and drier results.
- Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Gold certified extraction — the certification most facility carpet-care specs reference.
- 120 psi solution pump with a 0.7 gpm flow rate in restorative cleaning mode.
- 1.5 hp three-stage vacuum motor developing 120 in of water lift through an 18.75-inch (48 cm) self-aligning vacuum shoe.
- 9-gallon (34 L) solution and 7-gallon (26.3 L) recovery tanks, with a removable recovery tank for easy dumping.
- One-Touch controls: the operator selects a cleaning mode instead of coordinating separate pump, brush and vacuum switches.
- 50-foot power cord for unlimited corded run time and full-room coverage from one outlet.
- Front-mounted drain hose empties the tank without tipping the machine.
- Multi-surface capability with optional tools: carpets, hard floors, upholstery and spot cleaning from one machine.
- Compact 19.25-inch width, 28-inch minimum length and 102 lb weight fit a standard janitor closet and pass through office doors.
Receiving — do not sign clean
- Count the pieces against the bill of lading before the driver leaves. A machine, its batteries and its accessories can ship as separate items.
- Walk the pallet. Check the shrink-wrap, the crate corners and the machine itself — forks go through crates more often than anyone admits.
- Photograph any damage before you sign. Once the driver has your signature the photographs are worth much less.
- Write the damage on the delivery receipt. A clean signature on a damaged pallet is what makes a freight claim hard. Then call 1-888-287-3732 the same day.
