Common questions
Does a plant-based glass cleaner actually clean as well as Windex?
Yes. Windex relies on ammonia and 2-butoxyethanol for its cleaning power -- both are VOCs linked to respiratory irritation, especially in enclosed commercial spaces. No.01 uses plant-derived surfactants that dissolve grease and fingerprints just as effectively, without the fumes. The formula was developed in the same Montreal lab that produces industrial-grade facility cleaners -- it's commercial-grade, not a consumer-grade "green" product with an eco label.
Will this leave streaks on glass?
No. No.01 is specifically formulated for streak-free drying. The key is the fast-evaporating, pH-balanced formula -- it doesn't leave the residue film that many conventional and eco cleaners leave behind. For best results on heavily soiled glass, wipe once to break up grime, then a second pass to polish. On routine maintenance cleans, one pass is enough.
Is it safe to use on tinted windows and anti-reflective coatings?
Yes. Because No.01 is ammonia-free and contains no petroleum solvents, it won't damage window tints, anti-glare coatings, or protective films. Ammonia-based cleaners (like Windex) degrade these coatings over time. This makes No.01 suitable for automotive showrooms, retail display cases, and commercial buildings with coated glass.
How does the cost compare to conventional glass cleaners?
At $24.99 for 4L (~1,333 sprays), No.01 costs roughly $0.019 per spray. A standard 765 mL bottle of Windex costs ~$5.49 for ~255 sprays -- about $0.022 per spray. No.01 is actually cheaper per use AND eliminates the VOC exposure risk to your cleaning staff. Bulk formats (20L pails, 204L drums) drop the per-use cost further.
What surfaces can I use this on besides windows?
No.01 works on any non-porous glass or reflective surface: windows, mirrors, glass tabletops, display cases, stainless steel appliances, chrome fixtures, glass partitions, and sneeze guards. It's pH-balanced for daily use -- safe for routine cleaning schedules in offices, retail, hospitality, gyms, and healthcare settings.
