Does a plant-based glass cleaner actually clean as well as Windex?

For best results on heavily soiled glass, wipe once to break up grime, then a second pass to polish. On routine maintenance cleans, one pass is enough.
Is it safe to use on tinted windows and anti-reflective coatings?
