Product description
This is the burnisher for buildings that have to stay occupied while the floors get shined. The active dust-control version adds a dust ring and filter to the Centerfold chassis, which drops both the airborne pad dust and the noise — 62 dB with dust control versus 69 dB on the standard machine — so it can run in a school corridor or a medical lobby during the day. The Centerfold name is the handle: it folds flat for transport in a van and for storage in a janitor closet that will not take a fixed-handle 20 inch machine. The non-locking handle is deliberate — it lets the head float and hold constant pad pressure, which keeps amp draw steady and the shine even instead of burning swirl marks where the operator leans. A 1.5 HP DC rectified motor drives the 20 inch pad at 1500 RPM through a multi-V belt.
- Active dust control: dust ring and filter included, which is what makes daytime burnishing in an occupied building practical.
- 62 dB average with dust control versus 69 dB on the standard Centerfold — meets the GS42 quiet-cleaning standard.
- Non-locking floating handle keeps constant pad pressure, holding amp draw steady and the gloss even across the pass.
- Fold-up Centerfold handle collapses for van transport and for storage in a tight janitor closet.
- 1.5 HP DC rectified motor on 115V 60 Hz (230V optional), multi-V belt drive turning a 20 in pad at 1500 RPM.
- 10.2 amp draw in the 20 in dust-control configuration — noticeably lower than the 13.2 amps of the same-size standard machine.
- Welded heavy-gauge powder-coated industrial steel body with a 20 in brush cover and full wraparound bumper.
- Thumb-operated safety switch, negative-pressure on/off switch and dual steel operating triggers.
- Includes a flexible pad holder with a pad centering clamp; 1 in x 5 in non-marking ball-bearing wheels; 92 lb.
- 50 ft 14-3 two-piece commercial power cord with cord lock; UL/CUL listed. Also built at 1800 and 2000 RPM if a finish system needs more heat.
Receiving — do not sign clean
- Count the pieces against the bill of lading before the driver leaves. A machine, its batteries and its accessories can ship as separate items.
- Walk the pallet. Check the shrink-wrap, the crate corners and the machine itself — forks go through crates more often than anyone admits.
- Photograph any damage before you sign. Once the driver has your signature the photographs are worth much less.
- Write the damage on the delivery receipt. A clean signature on a damaged pallet is what makes a freight claim hard. Then call 1-888-287-3732 the same day.
