FAQ

Common questions

How is this different from generic bulk hand soap?

Most bulk hand soaps strip moisture with SLS or SLES sulfate surfactants, leaving hands dry and cracked after a few hours of frequent washing. This formula uses sulfate-free, plant-derived surfactants -- lauryl glucoside and sodium lauroyl sarcosinate -- and adds aloe vera, vegetable glycerin, and pro-vitamin B5 to replenish moisture with every wash. Staff in healthcare, food service, and schools wash 20-40 times a day -- the difference shows up fast. It contains no parabens, phthalates, or paraffins, and the full ingredient list (INCI) is disclosed on the page.

Will it dry out my skin if I wash frequently?

The opposite. It's formulated specifically for high-frequency hand washing environments. The aloe vera and vegetable glycerin in the formula actively moisturize with each wash rather than stripping your skin's natural oils, and the formula is pH balanced to respect the skin. Facilities that switched from conventional bulk soap report fewer complaints about cracked or irritated hands from staff.

Does it fit standard soap dispensers?

Yes. The 4 L jug is designed to refill any standard wall-mounted or countertop liquid soap dispenser -- no proprietary pods or cartridges required. Pour directly into the reservoir. This is a liquid soap with a rich, creamy lather, not a foaming formula, so use it with standard (non-foaming) dispensers. If you need a foaming option, see Janitori No.52.

Is it strong enough for institutional use?

It's built for institutional use. Janitori has been supplying commercial facilities across Canada since 2010. The formula is used in schools, offices, healthcare facilities, and restaurants where performance and skin safety both matter. Plant-derived does not mean consumer-grade -- it means the cleaning agents come from plants instead of petroleum, while still meeting commercial performance standards.

How many washes do I get from one jug?

Approximately 2,000 hand washes per 4 L jug, based on a standard 2 mL pump dose. For a 50-person office washing 4 times per day, one jug lasts about 10 days. For a household of 4, it lasts months. At $44.95 per jug, that's roughly $0.02 per wash -- significantly less than individual bottle refills or pod-based systems.
