Product description

The BOSS is Mercury's modular floor machine: one 1.5 HP D/C Rectified base unit that takes up to five interchangeable aprons (13, 15, 17, 19 or 21 in), so a single purchase covers every rotary job in a building instead of buying a fixed-apron machine per size. This base unit ships with no apron, brush or pad driver — order the apron size(s) needed, then brushes and pad drivers, separately. The BOSS-2 runs at 175/300 RPM on a triple-planetary high-torque transmission.

Precision-balanced, super heavy-duty 1.5 HP D/C Rectified motor on a triple-planetary high-torque transmission.
Runs at 175/300 RPM — the correct speed(s) for stripping, scrubbing, spray buffing, shampooing and bonnet cleaning.
Five interchangeable apron sizes (13, 15, 17, 19, 21 in) turn one base unit into a fleet of floor machines.
Aprons mount with three easy thumb-screws; universal clutch brush drive.
Safety interlock switch plus non-conductive dual triggers; 48 in fully adjustable handle.
Non-marking super-thick bumper; 6 in non-marking fixed operating wheels.
One 50 ft 14/3-gauge safety power cord. Accepts the optional SST-4 4-gallon solution tank and UWK unicorn weight kit.
A complete order includes this base unit plus one or more aprons (ordered separately); brushes and pad drivers also ordered separately.

This machine does not recover its own solution (READ FIRST)A rotary floor machine scrubs; it does not pick up. Every wet job needs a wet/dry vacuum or an auto-scrubber behind it to remove the slurry before it dries back onto the floor.
Neutral floor cleaner (scrub and recoat prep)Routine deep scrub of sealed or finished floors. Pad: RED (light) or BLUE (general) at the machine pad size. Dilute per label and keep the floor wet — a rotary at 175 RPM burns a dry floor.
Heavy-duty degreaser (alkaline)Kitchens, shops and heavy traffic film. Pad: GREEN (heavy scrub). Rinse and neutralize after a high-alkaline product before any finish is applied.
Floor stripper (finish removal)The job this machine is best at. Pad: BLACK (aggressive strip) at the machine pad size. Flood, dwell, scrub, then wet-vac the slurry, rinse and neutralize before recoating.
Floor finish / sealerApplied separately by mop or applicator after the strip, never through the machine.

What training is required to run this machine?

How does freight delivery actually work?

Write the damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it before the driver leaves, then call us the same day. We file the claim with the carrier, not you.

What warranty does it carry?

Can I return it?

Call us within 30 days of delivery if the machine is not right for your facility and we arrange the return with the manufacturer.
