The Viper AS5160 is a 20" battery walk-behind auto scrubber built for daily commercial cleaning, delivering up to 23,680 sq ft/hr with dual 16-gallon solution/recovery tanks and roughly 2.5 hours of run time per charge. It ships pad-assist ready with a 20" pad driver, a 31" cast-aluminum parabolic squeegee, two 12V/105Ah wet batteries, and an onboard 10-amp charger. The Nilfisk-built value line pairs rugged roto-molded tanks with an intuitive hour-meter/battery-gauge control panel for low-training-time operation in schools, retail, warehouses, and kitchens.

CLEANING PRODUCTS

Neutral cleaner (daily maintenance) → white or red padLow-foam neutral floor cleaner for routine daily scrubbing on sealed/finished hard floors. Pair with a white pad (light polish/burnish) or red pad (light scrub). Neutral pH protects floor finish; use the machine's low flow setting (0.15-0.3 gal/min) to conserve solution.
Degreaser (kitchens / heavy traffic) → blue or green padLOW-FOAM alkaline degreaser is mandatory in an auto-scrubber — standard high-foaming degreaser overwhelms the 16-gal recovery tank and can damage the 350W vacuum motor. Pair with a blue pad (medium scrub) or green pad (heavy scrub/grease). Increase solution flow and slow the pass on greasy quarry tile / kitchen floors.
Stripper (wax/finish removal) → black padHigh-alkaline floor stripper with a black strip pad to cut old wax/finish. Use a defoamer/low-foam stripper or add defoamer to the recovery tank (heavy foam from dissolved finish is the #1 vac-motor risk). Run slow with high flow; the AS5160's 60 lb pad pressure aids cut. Follow with a clean-water neutralize pass before re-coating.
Floor finish / sealer → NOT run through the machine (white pad for maintenance burnish only)Finish is applied by mop/applicator, not the scrubber. Use the AS5160 only to strip + neutral-rinse before finishing; for maintenance, a white pad supports light burnish/polish of the cured finish. Low-foam rule still applies to the pre-finish rinse.
Universal low-foam ruleEvery chemistry run through the AS5160 must be low-foam, or a defoamer/vac-motor protectant must be added to the recovery tank. Foam collapses vacuum water-lift (47.2 in), leaves streaks, overflows the recovery tank, and can burn out the 350W vacuum motor — the single most common auto-scrubber failure mode.
