Product description

The Tornado BD 14/4 (99414) is a compact, cordless 14" disc auto-scrubber built to replace the mop-and-bucket in tight, congested spaces — QSRs, c-stores, restrooms, classrooms and health clubs. Its integrated parabolic squeegee sits just 1" behind the pad for near-instant water recovery even around 180° turns, and the maintenance-free AGM battery with onboard charger eliminates the trip hazard of a cord. A collapsible handle plus rear wheels let it store on-end in a closet.

Low-foam requirement (READ FIRST)This is an auto-scrubber — only LOW-FOAM / defoaming chemistry may be used. Foam fills the recovery tank and can be pulled into the 0.8 hp vacuum motor, causing damage and killing water recovery. If a chemistry foams, add a commercial defoamer to the recovery tank per its label. Always dilute per label — the 3.5 gal solution tank is small, so use concentrates at correct ratio.
Neutral cleaner (daily maintenance)Pair a Janitori low-foam NEUTRAL-pH floor cleaner for routine daily scrubbing of sealed/finished floors. Pad: RED (light daily) or run the included 48903020 white poly brush. Most common use case for this machine.
Degreaser (QSR / kitchens)Pair a Janitori low-foam alkaline DEGREASER for grease-loaded floors in quick-serve restaurants, kitchens and c-stores (the BD 14/4's core market). Pad: BLUE (medium) for routine grease, GREEN (heavy) for baked-on soil; or medium 48903030 poly brush. Confirm the degreaser is auto-scrubber-rated / low-foam.
Stripper (finish removal)Pair a Janitori low-foam floor-finish STRIPPER for removing old wax/finish in small areas. Pad: BLACK strip pad, or the 48903040 aggressive grit brush. Strippers foam heavily — dose defoamer in the recovery tank. Note: a 14" machine is best for small/confined strip jobs, not large open floors.
Finish / sealer (applied separately)An auto-scrubber does NOT lay floor finish/sealer — it preps the floor (strip + neutral rinse). Apply Janitori finish separately with a mop/flat applicator after the scrubber has cleaned and the floor is dry. Pad for light polish/buff of a cured finish: WHITE (note the BD 14/4 turns at only 180 RPM, so it is a light polisher, not a high-speed burnisher).
