Product description

The Tornado BD 17/6 (99617) is a compact, low-profile 24V cordless walk-behind scrubber with a 17" single-disc head and 6-gallon solution/recovery tanks, built for small-to-medium hard-floor spaces — retail, restrooms, QSR kitchens, health clubs and tight areas a mop-and-bucket normally handles. Its patent-pending integrated parabolic squeegee sits 1" behind the pad and rotates 180° left/right for immediate water pickup, even scrubbing in reverse under counters. Maintenance-free AGM batteries and an on-board charger eliminate the trip hazard of a cord while delivering up to 16,200 sq ft/hr of cleaning.

Neutral cleaner (daily maintenance)Everyday clean of sealed/finished hard floors (VCT, tile, rubber). Pair with a RED or WHITE 17" pad. Use an auto-scrubber LOW-FOAM neutral — high foam floods the 6-gal recovery tank and can damage the 340W vacuum motor.
Degreaser (kitchens / QSR / food service)Greasy hard floors. Pair BLUE (general) to GREEN/BROWN (heavy) 17" pad. Must be a LOW-FOAM, rinse-friendly auto-scrubber degreaser; add defoamer to the recovery tank if foaming appears.
Floor stripper (finish removal)Strip old finish before recoat with a BLACK 17" strip pad on the 48803050 pad driver. Strippers foam heavily — dose defoamer into the recovery tank, run the slowest pass, and treat the BD 17/6 as a small-area/edge stripper (17" compact head, not a large-area machine).
Floor finish / sealNOT applicable on this machine — the BD 17/6 is a scrubber, it does not apply or burnish finish. Apply finish with a mop/applicator; the scrubber only preps (strip/scrub) the floor beforehand. General low-foam rule applies to every chemistry above to protect the vacuum motor.
