Product description

The Tornado BR 18/11 (99685C) is a compact 18" walk-behind cylindrical scrubber built for tight, congested spaces in schools, restaurants, retail, hotels and healthcare. Its twin counter-rotating cylindrical brushes spin at 1,300 RPM with 4–6x the contact pressure of rotary discs, delivering low-moisture deep cleaning on everything from smooth VCT to grout, slate and rubber studded flooring — and they sweep debris into a hopper so no pre-sweep is needed. Runs cordless and LEED-quiet at 66–67 dB(A) on a 24V wet-acid battery set with an on-board charger.

LOW-FOAM is mandatory (all chemistries)Auto-scrubber rule #1: use only low-foam / defoaming floor chemistry. High-foam cleaners fill the recovery tank with suds, trip the float shutoff, and can pull foam into the 570W vacuum motor. Dilute to label — over-concentration foams.
Neutral Cleaner (daily maintenance, pH 7–9)Janitori neutral floor cleaner for routine soil on VCT, sealed concrete, tile. Pair with the White Soft brush (K57621720) — the cylindrical equivalent of a white/red pad. Low moisture, single pass.
Degreaser (kitchens, entries, heavy grease)Janitori low-foam degreaser for oily/greasy soil. Step up to the Medium (K57620080) or Hard Grit (K57621710) roller — the blue/green-pad equivalent — and switch to the oil-resistant squeegee blades (front 48405040 / rear 48405030) so grease doesn't degrade the standard gum rubber.
Stripper (finish removal)Cylindrical scrubbers are NOT ideal for full wax stripping — that's an orbital/rotary + black/brown strip-pad job. The BR 18/11 with the Hard Grit roller (K57621710) handles light strip / deep scrub-and-recoat prep only. Use Janitori low-foam stripper, mist-and-dwell, work in small sections, and recover fully; heavy build-up → refer to an orbital (Tornado OB series) with black pad.
Floor Finish / SealerNot applied by this machine. The BR 18/11 preps and recovers the floor; finish/sealer is laid down separately with a finish mop or applicator after the floor is scrubbed clean and dry. No finish pad/color applies to a cylindrical scrubber.
